While we cannot match volunteer hours with any financial match, we are excited to use the timing of this event to show the care and concern that you have for your community and neighbors. If you plan to participate in any volunteering between Nov. 1-28, please email some photos and a brief write-up to

Giving Tuesday 2023

Giving Tuesday 2023

Last year the donations of First Weber agents and staff combined with the matching donations of the First Weber Foundation made an impact of over $40,000 during the holiday season!

As we once again approach the holidays, we plan to offer Giving Tuesday (November 28) matches for participants of the First Weber Foundation.

There are 3 ways to show your generosity via the First Weber Foundation: Matching Gifts, Group Giving and Volunteering. Read on for more information about these programs.

Matching Gifts

During Giving Tuesday collections, we take a different approach to Matching Gifts. As a reminder, each Foundation Participant qualifies for up to $1,000 per year in matched donations through the Matching Gifts Program.

The Foundation will match your donations - at a minimum of $50 and no more than $250 per organization per participant per year - for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations. (Note: Some restrictions apply; if you have questions about whether your organization of choice will qualify, please email

Follow these directions to participate in the Matching Gifts 'GIVING TUESDAY' Program:

  1. Download the Matching Gifts Request Form;

  2. Complete the LEFT side of the Matching Gifts Request Form;

  3. Write a check (or make an online donation) to your 501(c)3 organization;

  4. Attach the check (or donation receipt if you made an online donation) to the Matching Gifts Request Form and send to: First Weber Foundation, 5250 E Terrace Dr., Ste I, Madison WI 53718.

  5. To participate in Giving Tuesday, the deadline to send in your donations and forms is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20.

  6. Matching Gifts will be mailed by the Foundation on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

Group Giving Events are an opportunity for 2 or more Foundation Participants to host a fundraiser for a qualifying 501(c)3 organization.

Note: This program requires pre-approval by the Foundation. Many offices combine their efforts to host a meaningful fundraiser in their community. Check around with your office mates and find out if they'd like to join you.

The First Weber Foundation will match donations up to $2,500 for qualifying non-profits.

Your event can be as easy as an office collection, or hold something at your office or office parking lot where the public can participate, such as a shredding event, a garage and bake sale, brat sale, etc. With a little planning, you will be able to get noticed in your community for your generosity!

Here's how to hold a Group Giving Event:

1) Download the Group Giving Packet;

2) Complete the 1 page Application;

3) Notify the non-profit organization you want to raise money for that you need a copy of the 501(c)3 IRS Letter of Designation for their organization;

4) Send the 1 page application and the 501(c)3 IRS Letter of Designation to

5) Once your application is approved, you will get a copy of the application back for your records and the planning may begin! ANYBODY can participate in the event and help plan the event so long as 2 or more Foundation Participants are involved in leading the group.

6) All donations will be made payable to "First Weber Foundation" - cash is converted by you to a money order or cashier's check before you send it in. Payment links and the DipJar are available upon request.

7) The Group Giving Packet includes a giving grid to record donations. This is to send an acknowledgement of the donor's contribution for their tax records.

8) Once your event is done, send all checks to: First Weber Foundation 5250 E Terrace Dr., Madison WI 53718. Include the Payment Grid (donors who complete the grid should receive an email or letter acknowledging their donation).

9) To be included in Giving Tuesday, all donations should be turned in to the Foundation by Monday, Nov. 20.

10) Once the event is processed, a check will be made by the Foundation to the non-profit. Schedule your check presentation to the organization for Giving Tuesday and send photos to
