First Weber agents and staff raised more than $16,900 for UNICEF's Ukraine Emergency Response team, and the First Weber Foundation matched an additional $15,000 for a total donation of $31,913.06.
The invasion of Ukraine left many feeling helpless and anxious for the children and families who were losing their homes and family members, not knowing when they could return home or to what they would return. The First Weber Foundation opened donations on March 7, originally intending for the collection to be held over the course of two weeks.
As time went on, more and more donations started flooding in. The Foundation initially offered a $5,000 match, but because of the volume of donations, the Foundation raised the match to $10,000 and in less than a week, raised the match for a third and final time to $15,000.
As the crisis in Ukraine goes on, the Foundation's contribution represents the hopes and well wishes of First Weber's agents and staff, friends and family, that these funds will provide some relief and comfort to those in need.
As the collection neared its conclusion, First Weber agents and staff gathered to show their support for Ukraine by wearing the colors of the Ukraine flag.
Many thanks to all who joined in this fundraising event. The First Weber Foundation is the giving arm of First Weber Inc, Wisconsin's #1 real estate company with over 60 offices and 1400 real estate professionals serving Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
