First Weber Habitat House Nearing Completion

First Weber Inc has been a steady supporter of Habitat for Humanity in Milwaukee dating back to 2008.

The First Weber Foundation has provided matching gifts, volunteer people-power and direct giving donations to Milwaukee Habitat annually to sponsor and build new Habitat homes. In 2020, the FW Foundation made a 5-year commitment to Milwaukee Habitat, and in 2021 - with volunteer support from First Weber agents and staff - we built and sponsored a brand new home in Milwaukee's Harambee neighborhood.

Andy Heuer, Development Director for Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, recently gave a tour of the nearly-finished home that has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The modest home will enable its family to have bright living space on the main level and their own bedrooms. The homeowner shared that they had helped others build homes and now can't believe that all of the hard work they have put forth will result in being able to call this their new home!

Heuer went on to say that "First Weber is a tremendous partner. The Foundation's 5-year pledge sets the standard for other organizations to follow. We highlight it to leverage additional support from the community. Just as importantly, First Weber agents and staff are great volunteers and champions for Habitat. After all, who knows more about the importance of having a safe, stable, affordable place to live? We are grateful for this wonderful partnership as we build a world where everyone has a decent place to live."
